I’ll be delighted to teach you English, Spanish or Polish or guide you through the learning process of any language as a language coach (online and offline)!
I speak Polish, English, Spanish, Catalan, French, German, a bit of Portuguese, Italian and Esperanto, but I have been in touch with other languages too (Latin and Dutch, for instance). I’m passionate about languages and language as such!
I’m also a trained and passionate teacher with more than 15 years experience. I have a PhD in English linguistics specialising in phonetics and pronunciation. But my formal training doesn’t mean I can’t be down to earth and simplify all the nitty-gritties: that’s what my job as a teacher (and a researcher) is actually about.
I’ve actively participated in events for language lovers (notably the Polyglot Gathering in Bratslava 2019 – you’ll find my talk in the Talks tab). I’m also a member of HYPIA (International Hyperpolyglot Association). Take a look at my profile on their page for an interview on my language experiences. As an active language learner and polyglot, I can definitely show you some tools and the tricks of the trade and motivate you to learn languages effectively and finding new ways of learning. Making personalised learning plans and working on customised learning strategies is key in successful language learning. Of course I’m a huge fan of grammar and structure but I’m also an efficient communicative language instructor dedicated to his students success.
In April 2021, I was a mentor on the Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam course English Pronunciation in a Global World on the MOOC platform Futurelearn.com.
I’ve participated in teaching innovation projects (Sharing Concerns (Journalism)) and am currently the PI of the Innovation Community “International Language Day” at the Language Department at UFV, Madrid.
